Yep, the best place to shop for panels and fabric and more fabric. So glad we stopped while on our road trip. They surely have thought through the craft needs of their community. Happy Quilting!

Was looking for scrapbook papers and embellishments related to local attractions (Mt Rushmore, Badlands, Black Hills, etc). Most were out of stock. I like to support small businesses but I’ll have to buy from a large company online this time.

Learned of this shop on the Needle Travel app as I was driving cross country. It has a huge array of craft supplies and fabric, organized exceptionally well to make maximum use of the space and provide a one-stop (small business) shopping experience. I noticed there were several reviews that commented unfavorably on the extent of greeting, conversation, or help provided (i.e., not as much as desired), but I'd like the owners to know there are customers like me for whom that is just fine - if I need something, I'll ask for it. I in fact had a really friendly conversation with the owner as I checked out. Great spot!

We were visiting Spearfish and came across this wonderful store. They have everything you can imagine. The gentleman whose family has owned and operated it for nearly 49 years was so very friendly and helpful. Hope to visit again someday.

I love this store. The gentleman running is very nice and knows the store. They have great fabric and any other craft items you might want. Can't wait until I'm back in the area to go back

A nice selection, but the service left something to be desired. I wasn't greeted when I walked in, and I walked through the whole store without so much as an acknowledgement. When I asked if they had any corduroy, the only answer I got was a terse "No." I also waited at least thirty seconds at the counter to be helped, and by that point I was the only one in the store.

I've shown support for the Knot Hole for over 6 years and recommend to anyone I know that crafts. It is getting hard to compete with yarn skeins and fabric though, walmart is $1.99-7.99 and here its $7.99-15.99 for the same color and brand skein and patterns . Went in for some colors Wal-Mart doesn't have and got a nice 20% off (Black Friday). I've shopped in person, ordered items in store through their catalog but never seem to be remembered. I do try to open conversation, talk about family or open doors for discussion but dont get much in return which does make me sad. My favorite part of shopping small stores since I would go with my mom fabric shopping is to create and sustain relationships.
