Awesome launch site tucked away in a small town atmosphere!! Gorgeous to just stop by and soak in the river views and even better when canoeing up to the site. Lots of local history as well!! Hint, look for the Knapp cave!! A local secret!!

Parking sucked and we got ate up by mosquitoes but other than that it was a wonderful end of our 11 mile kayak trip from Franconia Landing.

Another poster stated the falls in my pictures are at the St. Croix Boom Site. This is incorrect. These falls are accessible from the landing and are about 1/4 mile up the small creek that feeds into the river. These are referred to as Copas Falls and are not the falls at the boom site, which I have also seen and photographed.

Rustic, rock, sand, and gravel landing. The ramp is pretty steep. No parking lot. Parking is along one side of the gravel road, so if it's busy, you may have to park up the road a ways. Great place for small craft like canoe, Kayak in or out. You can back down the ramp if you're a skilled driver, and if your boat is heavy at all, you'd want 4-wheel drive to get back up the ramp. There's a porta-potty on sight.

This is a small boat/canoe-kayak launch. There is a sharp~90 degree turn at the bottom of the approach. Never meant to be used by larger boats. There used to be boulders at the entry to the water that have been removed and the turn area radius was decreased to make launchings easier. Put in downstream at William O'Brien state park if you need a more improved launch. This will require a park entry fee but you have a straight approach to the ramp, better parking, and a protected harbor where you do not need to deal with the river current

This is a great place to launch a canoe, but as far as a boat, you need a truck for sure... The access is on a VERY steep, dirt to incline, and can be difficult to get up... Otherwise this is a beautiful place to launch from

Fingers crossed for the Great American Outdoors Act! This ramp has needed updating from the state for YEARS now! Only positive is that it keeps the greenhorns from trying to launch here
